Mark Ward, Founder

In a career within the events industry that has included Glyndebourne Opera House, Orient Express and, most recently, Searcys at the Hurlingham Club, Mark Ward has created and delivered a vast range of occasions. From delivering F&B experiences to guests on the Orient Express throughout Europe, to grand occasions of any size at the Hurlingham Club his experience and passion for the event industry is clear.

“After leaving Searcys, I had been approached about organising some events and decided to create LVL with the focus on placing these events only at London's most prestigious venues. I could see there was a gap in the market and felt that there was a level of complacency amongst operators, which was driven by the fact that they were built on infrastructure and needed to adapt."

Running a small team, Mark’s role is both creative in event design, and facilitative in working with suppliers to deliver events. One of the key advantages of this approach, in his view, is the speed of response to providing quotes and the ability to negotiate tactically with suppliers in order to achieve best value.

“Increasingly investment in events is being made in-house by companies, but they cannot deliver the detail or the quality of an event company, as very often the commercial history with suppliers is not in place. Equally, established event companies have infrastructure that they have to cost into each bid or quote and they may walk away from something that I would snap up. We can deliver the quality you would expect from a high profile company priced to meet a budget. I know where the negotiation points are and larger MICE companies tend not to drill down on costs which can save quite a lot of money.”

Clifford has more than 25 years’ experience in marketing communications and has worked across many business sectors including much experience in hospitality.

His experience covers all aspects of marketing communications including:
